The first question I had before rating Sonos was given that there apears to be only one speaker how does it deliver stereo sound, surround sound. Is the sound quality worth paying extra and are there any other products out there that do the same for cheaper. Ie wireless connnectivity, connect to the net, download from the net, and run as an app on your i-phone. Its quite impressive and therefore my expectations were that this product is unique and if it delivers on sound quality it must be a 'must-have' appliance.

Affordable when compared to buying everything in parts as you do with an ordinary stereo and better power than most i=pad docking station amplifiers. You really do get a complete system with much more besides a wireless music system.

Is it possible to buy an add-on for your own stereo allowing it to receive music from your i-pad. If so then this would save you having to replace your stereo completely.

This is purpose built and uses an application that runs on the device you are using to store music. With this app you can play different tracks at the same time in different rooms. Also it connects to every music database on the internet and plays direct, Napster, Spotify, Pandora, Rhapsody and iTunes to name a few.

I looked into the sound features and yes it is in fact using up-to five dedicated amplifiers one for each speaker they're digital amplifiers so the sound is near perfect. You can really tell the difference and for a little extra money you can get a twin speaker system that will deliver surround sound anywhere in the house.

It also has two subwoofers that really deliver on bass. I am really happy with my purchase. The software works automatically finding latest releases, and downloaded tracks from albums I havent listened to yet - programmable with felxibility on how tracks are selected. The power of this sytem is truly remarkable - any music, any time, in perfect crystal clear quality.

Stylish and simple they really are the center-peice of any modern apartment.
